Chinese เข้าเล่นเกมสล็อต scientists have found a way to slow down aging. Extending life with gene therapy
Scientists in Beijing have developed gene therapy that extends the life of lab rats, Reuters says.Scientists in Beijing have developed a new gene therapy that could help slow down aging. The results of the experiments in mice showed that they can extend the life of those rats.
Details of the gene therapy were published in the journal Science Translational Medicine earlier this month. It argues that it is a process involved in inhibiting a gene called "kat7", which scientists have found to be a key driver of cellular aging.
The project leader is Professor Chi Jing, 40 years old, an expert in Anti-aging Medicine and Rehabilitation From the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) of the Zoological Institute of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS)
Professor Chee said the therapy used a unique technique and the results were a world first. The results of the experiments in mice showed that the overall appearance and strength of the mice improved. And most importantly, they lived about 25% longer after 6-8 months of gene therapy.
A team of biologists from CAS used a method called CRISPR / Cas9 to screen for many of the genes that drive cellular aging. It was found that approximately 100 out of 10,000 genes, including kat7, were particularly effective in causing cellular aging.
She explained that the team tested the gene function in different types of cells. There were no abnormalities in human stem cells and mesenchymal progenitor cells in human and rat hepatocytes. And yet no side effects were found to occur with lab rats.
But it will still need to be tested against other types of human cells, as well as other rodent organs. It is also hoped that it will be able to experiment with other closely related mammals. Before the introduction of this gene therapy to slow down human aging
However, this gene therapy took a long time to become available in human trials. But a team of scientists are hopeful they can find future ways to slow down human aging. |
