PORTLAND, Ore. James Harden Jersey . -- The Trail Blazers had the perfect recipe for a record shooting night -- nice ball movement, open shooters, a good rhythm, and one of the NBAs worst teams as an opponent. "We were feeling it," Wesley Matthews said after Portland set franchise and league 3-point records in a 130-98 win over the struggling Utah Jazz on Friday. Matthews scored 24 points and LaMarcus Aldridge added 20 points and 15 rebounds for the surging Blazers, who have won four straight and 15 of 16. Portland made 17 of 23 shots from 3-point range for 73.9 per cent, an NBA record for a team with at least 20 attempts, according to basketball-reference.com. Portland also surpassed its previous franchise mark of 16 3-pointers. Damian Lillard added 21 points and Nicolas Batum had 13 for the Blazers. Alec Burks had 16 points to lead the Jazz, who trailed by as many as 42. They have lost 10 of 11 games on the road this season. Gordon Hayward, Jeremy Evans and John Lucas III scored 10 apiece. "It wasnt a lack of effort," Hayward said. "It just started to snowball on us." With the best record in the Western Conference, the Blazers (17-3) have been one of the NBAs most surprising teams. After winning only 33 games last season, Portland has more than half that total. And after beating Indiana and Oklahoma City in their last two games, the Blazers have even received some national notoriety, including being the subject of a New York Times feature story Thursday. Aldridge has scored 20 points or more in all but four games this season. He was serenaded with chants of "MVP! MVP!" after putting up 38 points and 13 rebounds in Portlands 111-104 win over the Thunder on Wednesday. Portlands sharp jump shooting has required opponents to respect the outside shooters and not spend so much time containing Aldridge inside, which has led to his increasing dominance. "Last year I was getting doubled a lot. Theres a lot more 1-on-1 play now," he said. While the Blazers are leading the West, Utah (4-17) is in the basement. The Jazz entered with the least potent offence in the conference at 91.2 points per game. Utah shot just 41 per cent Friday but it was defence that left coach Tyrone Corbin shaking his head. The Jazz were outscored 39-22 in the first quarter and 40-13 in the third. "If you give up 40 points in a quarter and 30 points in a quarter, its like youre not even on the floor," Corbin said. Utah point guard Trey Burke struggled to contain Lillard early and scored seven points in 16 minutes. Burke, a rookie from Michigan, has given the Jazz a lift since moving into the starting lineup over the past seven games, and Utah is 3-4 during that stretch. There was talk of a "trap game" in the Portland locker room before the game, and the Blazers were wary of a letdown. It was clear from the beginning that wouldnt happen. The Blazers led by as many as 17 in the first quarter and, other than a lag when the Jazz cut the lead to 48-40 in the second, controlled the whole game. Lillard scored all his points in the first half and the Blazers led 67-56 at the break. They scored the first 10 points of the third and extended their lead to 89-59 by the middle of the quarter. Portland led 107-69 entering the final period. "I think we came out and took care of business," Dorell Wright said. "They made their run in the second quarter, and I think we responded well in the second half as far as coming out and getting stops and making our shots." NOTES: Batum wrote "R.I.P. Madiba" on his sneaker as a tribute to Nelson Mandela, the South African leader who died Thursday at 95. ... The teams play again Monday in Salt Lake City. ... Jazz F Marvin Williams (heel) did not make the trip and was replaced by Enes Kanter in the starting lineup. ... Portlands previous season high for points was 118 in overtime against Toronto on Nov. 17. Clyde Drexler Jersey . You can watch all the action on TSN and TSN GO beginning at 8:30pm et/5:30pm pt. Minnesota dropped the first two tests of this best-of-seven set at Chicagos United Center and was outscored by a combined 9-3 margin in those setbacks. However, the Wild righted themselves at home by taking Game 3 by a 4-0 count before knotting the series at two games apiece with Fridays 4-2 triumph at Xcel Energy Center. Hakeem Olajuwon Jersey . Not that he was complaining. Davis had 13 points, nine rebounds and a career-high eight blocks, and the New Orleans Pelicans emphatically snapped a three-game skid with a 135-98 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers on Saturday night. http://www.therocketsofficial.com/Authentic-Trevor-Ariza-Rockets-Jersey/ .com) - The Calgary Flames were again involved in a game in which a team was held scoreless, only this time they came out on the winning side.SAO PAULO, Brazil -- Neymar showed why he is carrying Brazils hopes at the World Cup, scoring twice on Thursday to help the underwhelming hosts escape a disappointing start to the tournament. With Brazil struggling and down a goal against a spirited Croatian team, Neymar came through to lead his team to a 3-1 win in the opening match, scoring once in each half. The killer goal to make the score 2-1 was a hotly contested penalty awarded by Japanese referee Yuichi Nishimura. "Things werent going well," he said. "The first match is always difficult, we were anxious, we were nervous. Im glad I was able to get the goals we needed at the time we needed them." "He is a special player and we know that," Brazil coach Luiz Felipe Scolari said. "And he needs to know that we know that." Brazil got off to a slow start in its home tournament. Defender Marcelo found his own net while trying to clear a low cross by Ivica Olic in the 11th minute, stunning the crowd of more than 62,100 packing the Itaquerao Stadium. But Neymar equalized in the 29th, firing a perfectly placed low shot that went in off the post. He said he didnt hit the ball perfectly, "but it went in, its all that matters." "Its important to start these tournaments on the right foot, with a victory," said Neymar. "Im happy that I got to score, but the entire team deserves credit. We maintained our calm and showed we could battle back." The game turned on a controversial penalty awarded by Nishimura in the second half after striker Fred went down inside the area under minimal contact from defender Dejan Lovren. Neymar scored from the spot in the 71st minute, getting his 33rd goal with Brazil. Croatiaa goalkeeper Stipe Pletikosa nearly saved Neymars shot, but it was struck hard enough to deflect into the net. Steve Francis Jersey. The Croatians were furious. "If that was a penalty, we should be playing basketball. Those kinds of fouls are penalized there," Croatia coach Niko Kovac said. "That is shameful, this is not a World Cup referee. He had one kind of criteria for them and another for us. The rules were not the same," Kovac said. As Croatia searched desperately for an equalizer, Oscar added to the lead in the first minute of injury time with a toe poke from just outside the penalty area. A draw would have been a huge disappointment for Brazil, which had won its opening match the last eight times and is overwhelming favourite to win the competition. "The team didnt give up," Brazil defender David Luiz said "We knew it would be hard but we played well and got that first goal and then the victory." The tournament finally got underway as planned after months of talk about the preparation problems that plagued Brazil since it was picked as host seven years ago. The troubled Itaquerao, which wasnt fully finished for the opener, held up without major setbacks to fans or the match itself, although part of the lights atop the pitch went out a few times for brief periods in the first half. ------ Lineups: Brazil: Julio Cesar, Dani Alves, Thiago Silva, David Luiz, Marcelo, Luiz Gustavo, Paulinho (Hernanes, 63), Oscar, Neymar (Ramires, 8Cool, Hulk (Bernard, 6Cool, Fred.
