To Practice Squad Authentic Buster Skrine Jersey , Cut QB John Wolford The New York Jets have signed ex-Giants quarterback Davis Webb to the practice squad and released quarterback John Wolford to make room for Webb. This appears to be a solid upgrade for the Jets. Wolford did not appear to be anything close to an NFL prospect in his only action with the Jets against the Philadelphia Eagles in the final preseason game of 2018, nor was his college tape promising.Davis Webb certainly looks the part of a Mike Maccagnan quarterback prospect. Originally selected by the New York Giants with the 87th overall pick in the third round of the 2017 NFL draft, the 23 year old Webb is a 6’ 5”, 230 pound strong armed quarterback out of the University of California. Webb has had the interesting habit of intersecting with some of the most high profile quarterbacks in the college game. He started his college career at Texas Tech, unseating Baker Mayfield as the starting quarterback, which eventually led to Mayfield’s transfer to Oklahoma. Webb was in turn displaced by Patrick Mahomes at Texas Tech, leading to Webb transferring to California Youth Quincy Enunwa Jersey , where he was the successor to Jared Goff. That’s a lot of quarterback firepower Webb crossed paths with in a short period of time.Davis Webb was seen by some as the heir apparent to Eli Manning on the Giants, but a regime change brought in Kyle Lauletta this year in the draft, and Lauletta ultimately surpassed Webb on the depth chart. The Giants released Webb and he now finds himself backing up yet another recent college quarterback stud, Sam Darnold.Webb is a raw prospect who struggles getting the ball out on time and making good decisions with the football. He does not read the field particularly well and often locks on to predetermined reads. He will need significant development to become a decent NFL quarterback, but he should at least have a significantly better shot at it than the departed John Wolford.Welcome to the Jets, Davis Webb.Podcast: Recapping the Jets’ blowout loss to the Jaguars The Jets were blown out yesterday in Jacksonville 31-12. The Jaguars’ performance was every bit as dominating as the score would indicate. The Jaguars outgained the Jets 503-178 in their victory. There just are not many good things to be said about how the Jets handled their business yesterday. On today’s podcast we break down what went wrong for the Jets. There were a lot of culprits, but what were the biggest http://www.jetsauthorizedshops.com/authentic-terrelle-pryor-sr.-jersey , most troubling factors in this loss? On the show we will talk about pass defense, Sam Darnold, and yes, coaching. There are plenty of Jets fans unhappy with their head coach today. Is criticism fair? I think some of it isn’t, but a lot of it is.Thanks for listening to the show during these difficult times in Jetsland.
