| The Chicago Bears announced that they re-signed right tackle Bobby Massie to a four-year deal a little more than a week ago Cheap Roquan Smith Jersey , and now the Chicago Tribune’s Brad Biggs has the contract specifics. Much like general manager Ryan Pace has done with other financial commitments during his tenure in Chicago, he managed to give a fair deal to Massie, while giving the team a viable way out of the contract if need be. Biggs is reporting that Massie is actually receiving a 5-year contract worth $40 million and $15.8 million guaranteed, but a closer look reveals that it’s essentially a 2-year deal with all that guaranteed money paid in the first two years. Biggs says that the option years, “could potentially help the Bears in the future in the formula to determine compensatory draft picks.”The 29-year old Massie will get his guaranteed money and if he’s still playing at a high level he’ll be able to cash in with an $8 million annual salary in 2021, 2022, and 2023.
